and staring the comedy team of Laurel and Hardy (Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy).

Ollie's wife comes over to scold him.

Mrs. Hardy wears traditional Gypsy coin jewelry. She also has a Gypsy lover named Devilshoof.
Stan and Ollie need money so they visit the count.

Ollie manages to steal the count's cane and a coin.

The waiter asks for money in advance and Ollie taps the cane and some coins appear.

The count's men catch Devilsfoot trespassing and whip him. Mrs. Hardy avenges her lover by kidnapping
the count's little daughter Arline. She tells Ollie that the child is his.

Mrs. Hardy leaves with her lover and Stan and Ollie raise the little girl.
After many years the Gypsies are back at the count's property with Arline grown.

The count recognizes a birthmark on Arline and there is a reunion.
