The Winchester House is a 160 room Victorian mansion located in San Jose, California, south of San Francisco. It was built in the 1880's by Sarah Winchester, the heiress to the Winchester Rifle Company. It has been owned by two San Jose families since the 1930's who market it to tourists as the "Winchester Mystery House" and offer guided tours of the building.
